question, 85 442 cutlass salon stock 307, temp gauge works first start while idling, drive and it drops to like 100 degrees, sensor, sender , switch? , has a PT197 Connector so , i tested the gauge using alligator clips to ground the connector to the block, turn key to on it goes to full hot, full coolant, any thing im missing here i haven't had an olds, last one was an '87 442, in about 7 years or any gm v8 besides the caprice interceptor but that was efi, lol so im just stumped and dont want to drive it with an incorrect temp reading, but besides that in a year or so, ill be swapping the motor to a 350 rocket, and th350 and a posi rear end any thoughts
