Testing the effects of EMP on automobiles

It really doesnt matter

EMP = no electric

No electric = no gas.

Get a Huffy!!!

If you totally rewire your car, go with shielded wires.....that may help. 🙂

Depending on the factors, I don't think any of today's cars are ready for a big EMP pulse.

Arent military vehicles shielded against an EMP ? I know the diesel generators are.
Ive also been told that the book to read about an EMP is One Second After.
Yep. And newer passenger aircraft are too. That's why they allow cell phones, etc., on board since they "hardened" their systems. Still, a hard pulse occurs, it may not matter.

Lots of fuel for me sitting beside anyone's barbecue!

Hell even my Jetta runs on used motor oil. Colour me prepped!

Ok so you will go somewhere with that and then what??

Id save the BBQ to eat before using it to drive or heat where you are at........

Wouldn't be anywhere to go.

Get out into the countryside, and you'd better know how to hunt.

Oh I'm in a good spot where I'm at, but I would like the option of being able to leave in a hurry if it came to that. Nobody wants to be stuck anywhere in that kind of world.

The real downside to having a running vehicle in this situation is that everybody else would want it

Wanna know what the world would be like if a nuke hit. Go to walmart on black friday but substitute tvs for food. Most people cant survive 3 days without going to the store. It would be complete chaos. I will be ok. Just wait with my supplies until the weak ones all die off. Lol
