How much of the dipstick should be protruding out of the dipstick tube? If anyone has a matching 'stick and tube lying around I'd like a reference measurement to go off of. Or if there is a factory spec or what have you.

do you have a mismatched tube and stick?i don't know if this helps or not but the full mark on my oe 200r4 stick is where the case meets the pan,in that case it has to stick out quite a bit..only reason i remember that and not how much stick out there is because i had to show that for part of the stick calibrating for the warranty for my trans.
Im 99% sure the tube and stick are the matching pair. The only other sets I have are both longer in tube and stick. I do know the dipstick sticks an inch out of the tube itself when fully inserted.
