th350 swaping to 200r4

I need guidance installing a 200r4 into my 1979 chevy malibu. I know those 200s were computer controlled for overdrive and the lock up converter. so i just dont know how or what i need to install it so it works properly. Any hints comments or suggestions would be much obliged.

You still have the crossmember to contend with too. Good time to upgrade to something designed for dual exhaust.

i already have to crossmember situation under control...i think. but i hear that you must have the kickdown cable setup done damn near perfect because it also controls the pressure in the trans.

I'm doing the same thing right now. Depending on your carb, you will need an adapter. The one for a Holley is part number20-121. I'm sure you would need something similar for an Edlebrock carb. If you look on extremeautomatics.com you can find a write up on how to properly adjust the TV cable.
