Hello all now that winter is setting in I have decided to stop trying to get my th350 to work so my dad gave me his spare 200r4 out of a gn. I have a few questions
1. Can I use the th350 cross member?
2. What about the rubber mount can I use that on the 200r4?
3. Drive shafts are they different?
4. What is all the little things I will need?

1-You can mod the 350 xmember to relocate the mounting flange to the back. I've never tried it but just seen through online searches. Maybe someone here has done it. I'm not sure if you can move your current x member back .
2-If you mod yours it will depend where you put the mounting pad and you'll need a new one with an aftermarket crossmember. Make sure you get a frame extension with it if yours doesn't have it from the factory.
3-Driveshaft is the same
4-You'll need a lock-up kit for the converter, a tv cable with the correction bracket for the carb you're using and a tv cable if you don't have one. Make sure the dipstick and tube are 200-4r specific if you don't have one. http://www.bowtieoverdrives.com/catalog/catalog.php?Action=GETSUBCAT&CATID=WA3

When my friend changed out his sbc350/ TH350 for an Olds 307/ 200-4R in his Olds wagon, he was able to move the TH350 (Jeg's) cross member back a few inches by using frame extensions on both sides.
Frankly, I wouldn't do it that way. I'd rather have the proper cross member and frame extension.

I've done it four times. You use your stock cross member.Move it back. The holes are there from the factory. You have to reverse your cooler lines at the transmission.Get a 200-4r mount.I've done two '83 nonSS Monte Carlos,'81 Monte Carlo and a '83 Cutlass.Straight forward and easy.Remember to reverse your cooler lines.
