Rear seat delete.... welded a panel to cover the back and provide separation from the trunk.... painted flat black...

Pics of aftermarket procar seats and 4 point harness', dash gauges, engine bay, B&M shifter and custom made console, fuel cell to follow.....

Parts that i have to install are PMT upper and lower control arms, T/A performance rear end cover with girdle for 7.5", dual electric maradyne fans, B&M transmission temp sensor and gauge, line lock kit, aluminum water pump, 4" cowl unlimited products fiberglass hood, build and install a harness bar...
 
THE BEAST came from the factory with a chevy 305.... Does anyone know why they did that? They run out of oldsmobile motors or was it cheaper to do that?
 
GM mix and matched a lot of vehicle/engine combinations.

Do you plan on doing anything more with the floor of the rear seat :?:
 
That's just the way GM did it in the '70s and '80s. Just about the only thing kept brand specific was Cadillac engines in Cadillacs only. Although Caddys did get Olds and Chevy engines. Olds diesels in trucks, Chevys in Oldsmobiles, Buicks in Chevys, etc. etc. I suspect it was a corporate solution to tighter CAFE requirements and emissions standards.

So far just leave it the way it is.... why? You have some ideas?
