I started today tearing off all the chrome trim, glad I did. Starting to rust under it and was packed with dirt and leaves. I plan on leaving it all off. I still don't know what color I am going to paint it. If the weather holds up, I should have all the bodywork done tomorrow.

Before.....

No I got it in the States, Massachusetts. I heard the Somerset Regal only came in this color combo.

I got all the time in the world right now, Disabled and recently in remission from cancer. The guy cut a lot of corners on this car cause he needed to sell it right away. I paid $2,200 for it. Probably put about $200 in parts so far,Heater core, new battery, Trans cooler, new spark plug wires. He thought the motor was a 327 and it's a 350 4-bolt. One of the trans bolts was only in half way. It has a little surface rust and one rot hole about 2 inches which I already fixed.

I could probably paint it and sell it for a profit. Yeah right.

What color are those rub strips from the doors and are they in good enough condition to re-use?

No they where junk, the fake chrome was pealing off of them and they where all dented up. They where dark blue I think, I already canned them.

Might finish tomorrow, Need to sand the whole car, wash, clean, prime and paint.

No more directionals on the top....

Almost Done

I just need to wet sand and buff, Satin Black about 20 spray cans. I tested it out on one piece before I decided to do it this way and for $100 it isn't that bad. Tell me what ya think. Criticism doesn't affect me so if ya hate it, don't be afraid to say so.

u painted over the chrome bumpers? I let you know what I think when you are technically finished with it. I dont think rattle can was a good idea personally though.

i would've masked off all the chrome. it just looks boring being all semi-gloss, there is nothing to kind of "throw it off" the wheels look out of place too being the only thing besides the hood ornament that is a different color. just my opinion, it would've looked tough if you saved all the chrome, besides the rockers of course, lowered it, and put nice wheels on it.

Nice job on the body work. If you are going to use spray cans get a little more creative. I have seen some pretty cool paint jobs done with spray paint 8)
