Ok, great- thanks for the help... My issue is whether I'll be using my current one at all with having to move it back. Then, I heard some guys use a 90's camaro unit.

Is the shifter closer to the dash or to the rear seat than the automatic?
I know the older Fbody manual consoles have the shifter closer to the dash than the automatics I am not sure about the 90's versions.

Thanks for the link to Dixie Restoration Depot. I wasn't aware of that place. I may get carpet from them when the time comes.
I'm just getting into this project, so no telling what I'll need as things progress..

I know for sure that the floor pans are need replacement. Carpet is wet, leaky rear & maybe windshield also.....

The front & rear bumpers are the best parts on the whole vehicle !

I appreciate the offer !! Where are you located ?? Not too sure just what I'm gonna do yet. Today I was removing a few items from the interior, and discovered that the windshield leaks so bad across the top. that the trim piece just rusted away on the right side.
Kinda makes me wonder how far I should go with this body. Mush of the stuff behind the dash is really rusted. I just finished a 7-year body-off project on a '75 Elco, and I can't get into another long term one at my age (84). I'll just play it by ear for a bit for now.......

Here's some pics of the console I'm making using the hinge.still needs finnished,planning on wrapping the shifter cover plate,along with pinstriping in either red orange,or silver,sem the body,and rear cupholders black,and resining and filling in the under side of lid with a lil compartment for a garage door opener, or sunglasses, and filling in around the ashtray I incorporated in.I'll Finnish it sooner if someone wants to buy it?!?!😉,brand new sport shifter with cable,included.PM me if interested😉

I've been quite busy lately, and the '87 is "resting" ! I'm still an aircraft mechanic & inspector, and have work taking up my fun time !
I'm trying to get the Elco hauled to the shop hangar. I may have to just have a wrecker haul it over there....

Nothing new to report here....my '75 Elco is taking too much time to get it finished, with engine problems & other stuff. Still have to have the '87 moved too.
