Can you guys tell me if the 4 headlight grill from a 82 is a direct bolt in on this 79 or do you need to change fenders and such?

The grill itself won't bolt up to the 78/79 header panel. You would need to change out the complete header panel. I say to do it right you need to change the front fenders...they have the side marker light provisions. The 78-81 used single headlights and the corner lights on the header panel itself. The newer style header panel will bolt up to the early fenders though. Also to do it nice you would need to change out the front light harness for the 4 headlight setup. You may also have to open up the headlight openings in the core support.

Thanks for the info.

Got paint on the wagon this week. It doesn't look too bad but you can find some flaws if you look. I still need to clear it. It's getting a new windshield.

Lookin' good, man.
I like the subtle two tone paint. 8) I'm envious. My pile o' sh*t still looks the same. The weather has not been in my favor lately.

Is the roof painted silver or champagne gold? It's hard to tell. Either color would look cool.
Keep up the good work!

Thanks man, the top is silver with green mixed in.

I take it that it's a basecoat/ clearcoat paint?
I guess you're still in the midst of applying the clearcoat. It should look dynamite when it's done. 8) I like the color choices you used.
I like it so far. I also like your front bumper. Looking at yours, I should have narrowed mine a little more.
