Why is the grand prix the least desirable of the Gbody family? Would this be a Gbody that's worth keeping for a long time. Ive seen only one in my area and that's mine
I think the Grand Prix is the best looking G-body. I don't see very many around here either. Why is the grand prix the least desirable of the Gbody family? Would this be a Gbody that's worth keeping for a long time. Ive seen only one in my area and that's mine
Depends on the year........the 78-80 GP body style is not very aesthetic IMHO. The 81-87 body style was definitely an improvement and I would say its value is comparable to cutlass in similar condition. Why is the grand prix the least desirable of the Gbody family? I agree it does have the best looking dash and I purchased mines to be different as well..theres not many on thr road here at all..I don't even remember the GP's from that timeframe, and I was born in 75. I've seen one on the road here in the greater Houston Metropolitan Area since I bought mine in the fall of 2014. I bought mine to have something different. The GP has the best G Body dash.
Wow i learned something new today never knew that fun fact about the cutlass..i think people are still stealing them around my parts smhThe GP is a sweet looking car.
But at the time they were being sold the 2 big sellers were the Cutlass and Monte.
For years the Cutlass was the number one stolen car in the country.
I think my favorite Grand PrixI've always loved the looks of the GP's, with the 78*80's being the least favorite of the bunch (though I like them more than the others).
I pretty much looked for a cheap t-top console GP for 25 years, and finally found mine. Even though I think I should've left it be, I love the darn thing and wrestled with the thought of selling it off and funding the Regal... plan changed, and I'm currently working on it to make it better... look for a build thread on the Chief in the future!
