I have something to contribute here. Make your g-body sound like a modern car. The chime module out of a 3rd gen f-body has the same pin set up. I tested it in my regal. Now not only does it sound more modern there is a different tone for the headlight warning, key in ignition warning, and the seat belt reminder. Its so cool. That And I now found out that even though the standard rear view mirrors on all g-bodies look the same they don't fit the same. I lose two mirrors it the process.

where is the chime module located on a G-body and an F body.. That sounds like a cool upgrade. Will this work on my 83 regal? I think the only chime i get is when the door is open

The 83 regal is the same from 82-87(according to gmpartsgiant drawings). it is right below the right side of the gage cluster (but behind the dash). You would have to either remove the radio and climate control(as I have done). Or pull the whole dash off to get access to. Once you know how to get to it you can figure an easier way to pull it. I have my radio and climate control out so I can just reach in and pull. The 3rd gen f-body is right below the left side of the gage cluster(camaro). Although you have to remove the hush panel, the panel below the steering column, and the metal brace that supports the steering column bracket. It is slightly smaller and looks more "high-tech" yet still has the same pin connectors. If you have any questions just let me know. Next trip to the yard I will try and get some pix. Also forgot to mention always disconnect the negative battery cable of ur regal b4 doing any electrical work....Unless u want to see sparks, damage something, or get shocked.

Also sounds like someone removed your key in ignition switch. I had to get another one. The headlight warning wiring should already be in the regal. You probably have a 6 pin chime module instead of a 7 pin chime module.

what would be a good car to pull the electric fan from to use in my 87 cutlass

I used one out of a 98 dodge Intrepid. It is a dual fan and fits like a glove with minor trimming using the Cutlass radiator top plate. It has two speeds and pulls pretty good. Some people like to use a fan out of a Lincoln mark IV as well...

I’d like to expand a little bit on the Cruise Control and Delayed Wiper options.....primarily the early style 78-80 units. This would be the dash mounted wiper switch and the turn signal handle with the single cruise control button in the end (no resume/tap up/coast features).

If you find the early style cruise control and don’t feel like pulling the whole unit (which is really not all that hard to do) get the turn signal lever at a minimum. The once the handle is taken loose from the turn signal switch, just unplug the end from the cruise harness and the wiring can be carefully pulled thru the steering column. As far as I know these are not available new and although I had a good one on the column I used I’ve been looking for a spare and have had no luck finding one.

While the dash mounted delayed wiper switch is desirable by itself (as long as you unplug the separate pigtail instead of cutting the wires) it’s worth a good deal more if also pull the harness (the harness is separate......follow the 2 wires that plug into the lower part of wiper motor to the fire wall under the brake booster. Pull the harness from the firewall side and the grommet and harness should easily pull out intact. The 2 speed wiper motor itself may be desirable but they often need cleaned to work properly if they have set for a while and they are available new/rebuilt.

92-98 Jeep Grand Cherokee Steering box Saginaw 700 series. Fit's right in minus one bolt ( think there's only 3 ???), as the 12.7:1 quick ratio and the same steering stops as G body. No schoolbus wide turns with this one!!!
