To everyone, I got a estimate on the car, he is going to fix the bumper and the frame, the dents and the hole all for 1200 flat.
That's not painting the car back the original color but having patches of primer in the rust spots which are only 4 spots.
I might actually primer the whole car black is this a good idea or should I get it painted?
I was thinking Maaco cause my mom said they did them cheap and nice, but I don't know I have never seen a Maaco paint job.

Please if I could have everyone's feedback on this whole situation I would greatly appreciate it.

No I wouldn't honestly cause I say if its a 200$ job I doubt its going to b candy or even close to great, but it will do the job.
Are they at least half way decent?
Like I want to put this car into little car shows we have around here at the park during spring and summer.
Like would this be nice enough to look at or no?

I know I am thinking if 1200 is a fair price?

Maaco covers the metal, that's about all I can say about it. They sometimes have runs in them, they often overspray onto the trim, and they just look cheap. However, for the money, they can improve a tired old paint job.

well for the moment if u put it that way i think a 200 dollar job will be decent upgrade but u still gotta do some prep work and lay down some primer under ive seen my buddies after one year there all these paint cracks and chips and literally chunks of paint were falling of since it didnt stick on right thats with out no prep work

I don't want my paint falling off within the first two years cause they don't prep it or don't do a even halfway decent job.
Do you know of any places that are reasonable, I mean I don't want a cool or awesome color I just want the factory color back on the car.

not really i guess u can go around to local body shops and check out there work and get quotes and stuff

yeah so u can get a better idea but wouldnt it be cheaper to just by a car thats in way better shape ? i got my car over here in so cal for 450 and its rust free just surface rust on trunk and roof am sure u can find some kind of good deal were ever ur at

People here sell their cars for a good price up to thousands just for a gbody in primer no engine or trans, or they will sell them for thousands with good paint or decent with no engine or trans, I should have went with something a little more easier like one in primer but when I call people about them they never answer or never call back so I just give up.

The guy I got this from actually called back talked to us, but i think he was so generous because he knew he would and could rip us off.

I feel stupid everyday cause my family tell me I did a dumb thing I am stupid but I like the car just hate I have to put money I don't have into a car just to make it safe and drivable.
