But lets see where this goes, I'm sure some of you guys have something to add so add it! Theres got to be a few G's out there with odd powerplants too! anyways here goes....

How about a couple hopped up Gremlins, and a Spirit

When you think of the fire breathing dragsters of yesterday the name Baracuda probably strikes fear into your heart, but do the names Studebaker and Packard make you cringe just as much? If not they should. Check these out!! The Flinstone Flyers!

What do you think about a Toyota Corona?... What if it's powered by a V8 and built to go FAST??

Can you say no to a chopped mid engined V-Dub Bus? I don't think I could...

Does a seriously built Pantera float your boat?
http://www.hotrod.com/featuredvehicles/28518_1973_de_tomaso_pantera/index.html

Did Ferrari build a mid engined wagon? No, but this could change your veiw on your grandma's Rambler

and last but not least who woulda thunk an old Ford would get converted to AWD? or be powered by a turboed Volvo 5cyl?
http://www.hotrod.com/featuredvehicles/hrdp_0905_1932_ford_coupe/index.html

I'll post some more in a bit...

There was a fellow around here in the Twin Cities that had a bone stock looking AMC Gremlin with a 454 BBC in it. It was awesome. Haven't seen it in years.

And Pantera's are ****in sweet, even if they are Ford powered. I'd stuff an Olds in mine to make me feel better...

I'd have to find those two guys from team bubba racing that caballero in that one you posted. I go to Texas A&M and know exactly what sports car club they are referring to. So I can probably find them somewhere around here.

Search youtube for the 455 powered beetle. The guy used the toronado transaxle and kept the motor in the back, pretty wicked.

I've got the 500, transaxle, and front clip from an Eldo I plan to one day stick in the back of a pick up.. I was thinking of maybe a '57-60 Ford F100, but I've been eyeballing an old Studebaker truck for a while... and I know where there is a '53 Dodge, and an old Hudson truck too... So I've got options!
