Umm yea, I don't think anyone is going to try taking this

I guess I am lucky I live in a good area. We have never locked the door or windows on our house in the 15 years we have lived there and have never been broken into. Had one time when someone went into my moms unlocked truck and left someone's check book in the front seat  My Cutlass was sitting in the driveway for who knows how long with a $300 cd player sitting in the car in plain view and no one touched it.

I am not taking the risk though, because the car will not always be at the house. I do plan on at least a hidden kill switch and maybe some other things.

The most important thing is to tell NO ONE what you have done to keep the car from being stolen.

The best anti-theft device by far is a column lock. A kill switch is great but as stated above they will mess your car up before your column lock does any good. They have no deterent value. I still have one though because they are a good last defense. If they get past the column lock, they are going to be really pissed when it won't start for them.

The Club is a joke. I had one on my car and lost the key. I took the club of in less than a minute with nothing but a tire iron without damaging the car at all. With a pipe I could have gotten it off even faster, and I have never stollen a car. If I was a pro it would have been no harder than unbuckling a seatbelt.

The club is bullshit, but it takes time 1 minute or less can cause something to go wrong ie cops rolling by, someone seeing them, it takes two seconds to get on and two seconds to take off why not, and it cost what, 25-40 dollars, its a good line of defense if you just want to park your car to get something quick, and don't feel like putting on your column lock. I believe that a wheel lock is the best defense against a real thief, as my honda was stolen with a flat bed, as i had no steering wheel on it a column lock, autolock and a cut switch.

Lucky enough i had a column lock when i got the car, its the iron ones that were custom made which I use a three inch thick lock to lock to, unless they have a jack hammer or freon they might not get threw it, but i am always scared now that if they want it they will just tow it, so i leave it in the garage most of the time, and my family installed cameras, and motion lights to scare off thief's. But if they want it they will take it, but layering as much security as you can never hurts.

In Manitoba they make us put in Immibolizers. They work. You the magnetic key to start the car. Without it no way can you start it. Tow it away is the only way to steal it

In New York City the best anti-theft device is a fugly car. So fugly no one even wants to park next to it. I use that for work since I gotta park in a crummy neighborhood. I don't even lock it. But for a nice car the column cuff is great and a hidden kill switch that you have to reach up under the dash and feel around for is a must . All the ideas for a big dog, C-4, ignition key wired to coil are funny but around here if you injure the thief you are liable. You're better off killing him and putting a knife in his hand. Stupid but true.

Thats why i love Louisiana, you vehicle is an extension of your home, so you can bust a cap or blow his *ss up and be perfectly in your legal right to do so...check this out for other ideas http://www.stickdeath.com/frameset.htm go to "shocked sh*t" and click on "more anti theft".
