I will be using these with my 403 swapped Salon. They look to be constructed very well, and the price is right...

Have them, not installed.

The ball seems to be a little big for the Pypes DOF10S downpipe sockets, which are 2.25", however I tried a 2.5" socket and that's too big. As long as they seal is all that counts.

They responded that they do not do flow testing. Unlike the shorty-headers, looking at the header-manifold design, I would be surprised if they flow a whole lot better than the W/Zs do. I am not certain the big block shorty headers will fit in a gbody??

They only responded that the header-manifolds would.

Talking about header-manifolds:

vs shorty-headers (odd I cannot find these on the Thornton site yet?):

Thornton designed them to be direct replacement for manifolds, that is why there is a SBO and a BBO set. They should fit G bodies.

Thornton says those headers will work for G and F bodies with the BBO. It will be interesting see how down pipes fit these. I am thinking of prebent head pipes in 2.25" size for my 70S.

Must have talked to different peeps I guess? Since I am sufficiently scattered, I may get a set and try them if they will let me return if they don’t? I Like the manifold ones but I just cannot imagine they flow a whole lot more than W/Zs do?
