Well... I didn't buy ANY of the iPods new. One I got from my sister for free when she got a new one ( A perfect Blue 4gb Mini with all the paperwork and original box), I got 2 Nanos off of Ebay for $3.25 each to experiment with ( I got both to work), and a silver 6gb Mini I got off Ebay to experiment with. It's getting hacked with Linux and I am painting the shell with the same paint as my Cutlass so that I can use it in the car and it will match. I am also making it flash based and using a CF card in place of the microdrive it comes with stock. As for new ones, they are overpriced. I really don't see them as being much better than the 4 I have now except that they can play video.
I was not aware that Apple had better graphics programs then were available for PC's. Then again, it's not something I have ever done on a computer. I just use it to run word processing, picture editing, and web surfing. Sometimes I use engine sim programs too, to avoid making incompatible component selections. I have thought about trying to learn graphics design, but don't know where to start or what freeware is available to play with. I'm always open to trying new technical things as I find that sooner or later the knowledge comes in handy. I just can't afford to pay for everything I want to experiment with. If I could, I would have warehouses full of bizarre automotive creations like a gas/electric/solar/plug in hybrid Honda Insight that run 12's and get 100mpg or a Honda B18C1 powered Yugo GV, or even a 1969 Rambler American Wagon with a RB26DETT/5 speed from a R34 Nissan Skyline. ( I may not be artistically creative, but I make up for it in mechanical creativity!:lol🙂
