I'm doing the mcss steering box upgrade on my 79 pontiac lemans wagon. While I'm at it I also need to get inner/outer tie rods. At Rock Auto, they show for 79 pontiac, only a raybestos purchase option, p/n 4011196 and 4011197. Not being familiar with the quality of raybestos parts I then pulled up the '85 mcss page and see they have the very same raybestos part numbers listed for for the inner and outer. They also show moog p/n es2033rl for the outer, and moog p/n es2034rl for the inner. I would prefer to use the moog parts if they work, and they cost much less also. So my question is, will the moog tie rods for the 85 mcss work on my 79 lemans. The savings would pay for the shipping, and lunch at McDonalds.
Thanks...

Yes all tie rods are the same, however watch for companies trying to sell the same part for inner and outer. The outer has the zerk fitting on the top, the inner has it on the end. Trust me if you put outers on the inside you will not be able to grease them. Southwest speed is the only place I know of that has the actual inners.
