Everyone one of us hot rodders was born with a butt dyno, that should suffice and its much much cheaper... just be happy you have at least that. 😀

A$$-ometer, all the way. And its hard wired to my wallet. A coworker is a dyno stats guy. His 800horse street car is broken more than driven. He gets to brag of its power and i get drive mine

You know, I've also realized the correlation of a certain horsepower amount or higher that those cars are usually broken for one reason or several. I'm all for what makes me happy versus others because man does it save me money but my car is still fun. The 260 right now is gutless and the Rocket 350 I'm building will run circles around it and should be way faster in the quarter. I also see how much of saying you have anything over 500 horsepower is more of a "peeing" contest if it's for street use, especially that torque is king on the street.

Drag strips don’t lie
My butt dyno is all fun
Time slips today say 300 hp at the wheels

The dyno sheet is a way of communicating the feeling of the butt dyno in terms we can relate to.
I know what 440 hp/460tq at flywheel feels like when installed in a 3400lb car with an M20 and 373 gears , to me that’s starting to get pretty fast ,
to others that’s embarrassing slow
For me say my car was FAF and really slammed ya back in the seat doesn’t really mean anything
The butt dyno is most important ,so we invented a machine to help us talk about it
The dynamometer is a language that transcends all spoken word
Even the 50 dollar bill on the dash story 😅

Butt dyno, 100%
It's good to have info, but the thought of my 216rwhp is a lot less impressive than the feel of my 216rwhp. Add in some twisties, and I've got a good time on my hands. Just can't wait to get the T5 in now, once I can get a garage. You've gotta appreciate a car the same way that you appreciate a go-kart, in my book. Don't worry about the numbers; just take it to the limit on a closed course!

Trap speed... well... that and air mass.
