I’d like some suggestions on rear tire size. My 81 Malibu has UMI 2” lower rear springs. Wheels are 7” x 15” Rally’s. Looking for a taller tire that will not rub. Rear shocks are Bilsteins AK 1052.

There are not any before and after pic/measurements. I do know the rear Bilsteins required a lot of effort to get installed. My guess is the UMI springs lived up to their 2” drop spec.

we know what a G body looks like at stock height so an after picture would be good. I have Bilstein shocks and they install like any other shock so I'm not sure why you think they require alot of effort

Probably the term 'effort' was misplaced. The rear end had to be pushed up higher than I expected.

What size combo did u end up going with? I'm planning on getting the UMI Stage 2 kit with 2" drop myself.

15x7 Vette style rallys 255/60/15 is your best fit
