Though I will likely stick with my 245/45/17 front 275/40/18 rear stagger plan with my Eibach drop which is looking like only an inch in front 1/2" rear, I have done a ton of measuring and I think a 255/40/17 will fit up front due to the smaller diameter. I don't think that 25" diameter would look good on all 4 corners though. So, I'll be at 25.7" front and 26.7" rear . . . only an inch of actual front/rear tread difference with the tires I am going to use, and just a little under and over the stock 26s. 245/45/17 on all four corners should work and look just fine IMO. I am trying to get big block torque to hook up though so I really need even more than the 275s out back but I don't want to butcher the frame and roll the fenders so at least that is a start. We'll see in the spring how well it works . . .

I think this is a good combo (255/40F 275/40R), but you need to use 9" wide wheels (at least 8.5's in front) if you want them mounted at a national chain. They'll mount 255/45's on a 8" rim, but not 255/40's, because that wheel is 1/2 inch too small per the mfg's reccomendations. If you got a guy that will mount them, 255/40 should work OK on an 8" rim in front.

This car looks like it has blazer spindle and/or big brakes or Wheel spacers. The wheels seem spaced out a little much for 245's on 8" with 4.5" BS. Maybe its only 4.25" or 4" BS?. I run 255's in front on my T-type and 2+2 an my tires don't stick out that far.
Yeah, not sure on the particulars there but they do look outward more than they should be. I've had these pics saved just for reference purposes for rear tire sizes to go on my 17x8 wheels.

I was wanting to know a size that would fit the car good. If the 245/45r17s fit well, I just hope they keep making them!! Haha
The 245/45r17 fits good on the front and rear. . I would love to fill the rear wheel well up more with a taller tire but they don't really make a taller drag radial ... 245/45 is what I'm running upfront and it looks great. Also more improved handeling when combined with all of my suspension upgrades
