hey guys i was looking to give my monte a more agressive stance and i was wondering would there any way to put 275mm tires on the stock rims?(i believe i have 86 SS15x7 rims) if not then whats the widest tire i could run on those rims?

You can get 275/60s on but 255/60s is a better fit.

Yea they cut your centers out then weld them into a new rim size of your choice. I did it with two of my factory GN wheels and two of my 442 factory wheels as seen in my pics. Mostly ran 275/50/15s & 275/60/15s both drag radials for my desired gearing and look. But at one time I planned on notching the frame to run 295/65/15 drag radials for behind the 509ci.

Never wanted my stuff to look like a drag car but always be ready to make the guy with pizza cutters, obnoxious loud turns downs, and a monster tach on his dash look stupid. :mrgreen: Here is a few;

But if you have the factory aluminum SS wheels I don't know what they are able to do if anything.
