TO ALL VETERANS PAST AND PRESENT

Thank you guys, I did my time 3 years 9 months & 24 days. And was lucky I didn't have to kill anyone or get shot at. Plus now days I'm again very lucky to have the VA as my health provider. I would recommend that if your undecided what to do after high school, join up. The new perspective you receive will be life changing. Ole' Bob.

Just returned from our local Remembrance Day event and I was happy to see it was a very well attended event.
It has been 100 years since the end of WW1. It was neat that again this year they had a couple of replica Bi-wing planes fly overhead to mark the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month during the service.

It is also very touching that every year they place thousands of tiny Canadian Flags around Sunnybrook Veterans Residences to mark the day and show just a little respect to those whom laid their lives on the line so we could enjoy the freedoms that so many take for granted today.

From the bottom of my heart Thank You All! Past and Present for your contribution

War is horrible thing but some good can come out of it. First our belief's as Canadian's being defended, tyranny should always be stopped. WW1 was especially significant for Canada, which why this year is significant here. We performed way beyond expectation in that war, being led by a High School Principal who was a strategic genius along with massively out performing another close ally despite having a much smaller armed forces on the ground, we do have a much smaller population, are willingness to serve was just as great. The overall toughness of our Farmer John's and First Nation's here on the Prairies who were constantly put in nearly impossible odds again and again yet somehow delivered at great sacrifice. People forget how nieve these young men were and their willingness to serve was. Young men who never ventured more than a few miles from their quiet homes to hell on Earth. To my two Uncles that were Farmer John's and to my Ex BIL, a peace keeper, Lest we forget.
