what the hell is that red thing on the column??

anti-theft collar ... keeps someone from busting into your column

I have a question about your column guard.....can you still start/drive the car with it on? Or do you have to remove it completely every time you want to use your keys in the ignition?

I haven't gotten an answer about that for this specific column guard

sh*t, that cars in good shape except for the trunk!

Thats the column box I was talking about in a diff. thread. You can still drive it with it on there.
Nice car bud!

Sorry to beat a dead horse here, but DelOhio said that you can drive the car with it on, the owner (86_Cutlass) said that it completely blocks the ignition where the key goes.

Can anyone confirm how column lock works? Specifically:

Basically, when this thing is on my column, can I still put my key in the ignition to start the car? Or do I have to remove this column guard to be able to insert my key?

Every freakin' view of these things on the Internet shows the left side of it and I can never see the key side to tell for myself.

personally I think its horrible lookin............ and if they really want your car, a flatbed and 2 minutes is all they need. I seen a cutlass dragged onto a fatbed in park in less than 5 minutes. dont think the guys stealin it cares about the tires and transmission. steerin wheel lock will stop the amatures from stealin just as well. and kill switch is always a good thing

peace
