Torque converter bad?

Guys need some help my grand am is shaking
So bad today I thought it was going to come apart
I took it to a car show. Won a plaque but it
Has not been driving well. The other night
couldn't get it to go it. Today started shaking
And basically wouldn't stop. Weird then is I
Can turn car off and restart it and it may go a
Block or mile and do nothing and then start
Shaking again. Any help appreciated

I would drop the trans pan and see what that tells me.
