Torque Convertor

Hello I recently did a 305 7004r swap to my 81 mC. After driving the car i noticed that I may have a transmission problem. So im going to swap the 700r out for a 350. Will the 700r torque convertor work with my 350. Also will the torque convertor from my chevy v6/350 work with my other 350 transmission

No the converter from a 700 will not work on a th350. As long as the one from the v6 isthe same as in nonlock or lock trans it will work.

well first, what kind of trans problem?
do you have a TV cable? is it properly adjusted? (as in by the book for a Throttle Valve cable and not a kick-down cable)

my problem is i cant give the 700r transmission to shift it stays in first gear no matter what. I have tried adjusting the tv cable. A trans shop told me to unhook the tv cable he said it should shift with the cable unhooked if it doesn't its an internal problem.

WIll the chevy v6 torque convertor bolt to chevy 305 v8 flywheel?

the torque convertor i will be using is from a 81 Chevy v6/350 the good transmission is 350 its out of a 79 camaro..did both of these come with non lock or lock??

Check to make sure the govenor springs didnt fall off, this will stop it from shifting.

On the side of trans the is a round cap it has a clip that holds it in place remove the cover gov should pull out. If you look between the weights and shaft there should be tiny springs. If not thats the problem.
