I updated the size. Mine are actually 265s. I used 235s for years on my square body Chevy and Dodge.
Radial light truck tires were just starting out in those days anyway, so all the advice tossed at this problem is valid. Let the tires tell you. If the truck sits in the sun with few miles, you may not benefit from buying Michelins - the sidewalls start to crack, especially at high elevation UV. If you put lots of loaded miles on them, they will last a long time, provided your steering, shocks and suspension are good. On the other hand, my 'I work for a living' contractor neighbor swears by Hankooks.
