just wondering i have an 86 olds cutlass 4-door its a 305 it has overdrive does anyone know what transmission it has and also i was reading my owners manual and it says some of them come with limited slip rear ends well of course i had to try it out:roll:, it spun both tires anyone know what gears they have stock thanks
 
First, use punctuation marks. Reading a post like that leaves the reader breathless.

As for Posi, if present, the Service Parts Identification Decal (SPID) will have code G-80 on it. The axle itself may have a metal tag on one of the cover bolts stating the need to use limited slip diff lube only as well, provided it hasn't been lost to time. The gearing codes will also start with a G. GU1, GU2, GU3, etc. If you post your G codes here, I can translate them for you. There is also an RPO code sticky in the knowledge base section of the forum that I wrote detailing the common RPO codes.
