I'm tired of reading and not finding the right answers...I have a 5.3 with the 4l60e Do I need a transmission controller to run the trans I don't have ecm computer or harness I'm running a carb set up thanks

May as well do the harness for the engine and trans combo so you don't need the trans controller.

This place dis the harness for my friends 6.0 Ls swap with 4l60e and works awesome. No tcu.

Give him a call

Thanks, I'm just getting pissed with this swap every time I turn I need something else with that being said would I be cheaper just ordering a harness and computer and run it through the computer or would I still need the tcu

If your 4L60e is 2007 or newer it will likely need a separate TCU in conjunction with the ECM.

There have been several recent quality and delivery issues with bp on LS1tech.com... If you are considering adding a computer and harness I would check out psi. Another option is to buy a used truck harness and ecm and make the mods yourself. see link below

We used PSI on my brother's 78 Camaro when we swapped in a 6.0. We had a very good experience with them. Are you running fuel injection on your swap? If you were running just carb then you could get by with just the transmission controller.
