Prolly not, I haven't touched anything under the hood yet and it shifted ok for the first little while. Started feeling a little funny a couple weeks ago and then last week felt like something was really wrong. I asked a friend that's forgotten way more than I know and has rebuilt several auto trans'. His response for why it shifts ok manually was, "When you drive the trans in manual mode then more clutches or components are applied for engine braking usually holds 1 way sprags from freewheeling". I learn something new all the time.
