Does anyone make a pretty decent detent and shift cables? I installed a shift cable from an 83'-85' Monte (not with 2004r) into my floor shift swapped car, and within 5 seconds of me putting the car from park to reverse, the cable snapped. It goes back just fine, but just wont go forward into anything, and I had to use the rear of the column to put it into park or gear. This cable was from Autozone

For the detent cable, within a couple days of buying a brand new one from Carquest, it stuck and just wouldn't work anymore. The one I have on now is working fine for now, and I bought that one at Advance Auto. I recently purchased a B&M adjustable one so I'm hoping after adjusting it right it'll work great.

Anyone have any input? For the record I have installed both the correct shifter and shift cable bracket on the car. Not really sure what gives :?

I got mine from GM for my trans, but B&M makes good parts.
