I'm putting a transmission cooler in my wagon, the instructions state to start the car and put in gear with the brake on for 10 seconds and feel the trans lines to see which is warmer(that would be the feed line). I did this and can't feel any temp difference. Am I better off using the cooler as a stand alone unit or plumbing it in with the radiator. thanks

usually the top line to the rad is the hot line but on most coolers it won't make much of a difference in normal driving.
technically the fluid should have some heat in it so the recommended way is to run a good cooler and then run it through the radiator back to the trans. if it will get heavy use, just use a good (preferably a plate style) cooler.
