Well, I just noticed a very small leak coming from my transmission, and I was looking, trying to find it, to no avail, until, boom, it seems to be coming from the speedo cable connection. Ok, now the question, is this something I can fix myself or have someone fix it, I have been told, it might just be a damn o-ring. What ever it is, I wanna get it fixed.

Thank you in advance!!!

i would go down to your parts store and ask if they have the o ring available if not a gm dealer probably will then just take the speedo cable out and replace the o ring (with a drain bucket some transmission fluid may come out) then reinstall and check transmission fluid level

Thanks for the reply and advice guys. Sadly, i am gonna have to wait for a bit to do this. All my tools are back home with my parents as i am away for college, so it is gonna have to wait for a bit... 🙁
But again, thanks.

The plastic speedo gear gets a groove worn in it from the lip seal in the speedo adapter you will need a new gear the inner lip seal and the o-ring around the adapter, also check and see if the adapter is worn if it is oblong in the gear bore it will also need to be replaced , the new ones are steel instead of aluminum.
