This clip was hanging on my transmission cooler lines (TH350C, 81 Grand Prix). Does somebody know where it attaches to the frame?

More like on the right side of the engine block
I found a picture of it sitting next to the passenger control arm. It was loose last year when I redid my suspension & I forgot about it. I'd like to put it back where it belongs.

Most of the time I see them bolted to the oil pan

That's because it was in the wrong spot.

Bolted to the engine keeping the lines with the drivetrain not flexing the metal lines from the transmission to the frame rail.

You do you tho..

I want to do it right & assumed it was on the frame, so I guess I'm glad I asked.

I found this generic V8 diagram in my service manual, and it shows a clip on the oil pan about mid-engine, and another by the starter (on a bellhousing bolt maybe?). My clip looks more like the one by the starter. Next time I'm at the garage I'll see if it works in one of these places.

Looks like the bracket for the 231 that goes to a stud coming from an exhaust manifold bolt.

Oh yeah, that's it for sure. Thank you! Is that diagram out of a parts catalog? If so - does the catalog have a part number for the 231 carb-to-pump hard fuel line?

Sorry not available. GM will sell you a 25 foot roll of tubing and some fittings, the rest is on you.
