Transmission mount help

The crossmember mount should be about centered between the frame rails. If it's off by less than half an inch, you can just slide the drivetrain over and drop the bolt through. Do this after the bolts are through the motor mounts.

"The transmission mount bolt is sitting to the driver side of the crossmember hole" That is where this stock mount comes in. See how it's offset to the driver side? It should bolt right up, too bad it's a weak POS.

I don't remember the part#, but just ask for mid 80's camaro equipped with 700r-4 transmission mount. It is a straight mount not offset like 200r4. It should look like this pic when installed

See, now that pic looks like the cross member is designed to use the standard GM transmission mount. I would have expected that, not that they would use the stock cockeyed G-body mount. I wonder if his engine/trans is misaligned?

It should, worked fine for me. The g-force crossmembers are designed for straight mounts, My Dad has 455 olds with 200-4r with g-force crossmember and he also used the straight basic mount. Also the motor and transmission are a little offset to passenger side. Both my stock V6, V8 and my new V8 were all like this
