Looking for an expert opinion about automatic transmission oil, we are well aware of the dangers of an overheated transmission, my questions are what is the optimum operating temperature for a transmission?, what if any are the problems of overcooling?.
I run an aftermarket cooler in my car as I use it for long distance towing and haven't had any problems, but the more information I have the better I will be able to look after my car, I'm wondering if fitting a thermostat in the lines would be worthwhile.
