transmission problems???

my car feels like it slipping lately, not all the time, usually only when its hot.it started doing this after i put on the new intake carb setup. 2-3rd slips and sometimes even 1-2. the rpms shootup a little before it shifts. is this a slip? how can i fix this? trans cooler? i have a stock converter, should i look into a lockup converter?

If you are still using the 700r4, the carb/intake swap may have thrown off the tv cable adjustment. Im not positive if this will cause slipping, but if the cable is not adjusted right, it will cook the transmission. The new carb probably also requires a special cable bracket for the carb.
