transmission question TH350

ok guys maybe you can help explain when I'm driving and shift into second gear and leave the shifter in second when I let off the gas pedal it won't decompress it feels like it goes into neutral as soon as I get back on the gas pedal it's like nothing is wrong and I can drive normally. :? by the way it's a stock transmission bolted to a stock 350 sbc.

Does it have a vacuum modulator? Is it hooked up? Make sure the linkage isn't hanging up. Meaning that the transmission actually goes completely into gear.

I don't know if it will solve your situation but just some things to possibly look at.

Like V8 RUMBLE said check your linkage. Do you have column shifter or floor shifter?
