Thinking about plugging in the computer to see if it will lock up the torque converter so at higher speeds on the highway it will go into overdrive. I have everything unplugged and have a custom made carb so I don't know how this will affect the transmission I know someone has done this or has hooked up a switch let me know which is the best way to remedy this problem.
Thanks

I have te same thing done to my car. There is a little module under my dashboard that tells the transmission to send the converter into lock up 10 seconds after cruising in 4th gear. It didn't affect the transmission at all, it's a built 200 4r. The carb is a double pumper holly so nothing extraordinary. The motor idles at 800 and cruises at 2200 with 3.42 gears. You may have to do a little adjustment to the carb with throttle linkage, but other then that it should be pretty straight forward.

Jim H, converter lockup has been gone over ad nauseam. A search will answer all of your questions, but I'll tell you right now hooking your computer up just for lockup ain't going work unless you're running the rest of the CCC system.

Found a link from a previous post where you can purchase a kit from Summit Racing for 160 dollars so I am going to go that route looks like a nice setup.
Thanks

What do you guys think about the B&M kit for 160 dollars forgot to ask has anyone installed one and are you happy with it would like some input before purchasing.
Thanks
