Transmission question?

Anyone know, if the 350 transmission is compatible to a 350 Chevy engine ?

a chevy bell housing bolt pattern is different then a buick, olds, pontiac (bop) bell housing bolt pattern. i have seen some 350 trans with both patterns cast on the bell housing. but you can buy an adapter plate to mount a bop trans to a chevy and vise versa.

As oldsmobile joe stated if it is a BOP 350 trans you will need a bell housing adapter for the Chevy, they can be bought for under $50 and are easy to install but I would not recommend them beyond mild performance applications.
