I am in the middle of an engine/transmission swap and hit a snag. I had a TH200 and am going to a TH350 in my 79 Cutlass. The car has a floor shift, so it has a cable as well as the linkage off the column, I have the headers bolted on and looked underneath, and the part of where the cable bolts to the bracket where the linkage goes into hanges too far down. It hits the end of the header, so I really can't use it. Not sure what to do, has anyone had this problem? What parts were used to correct the problem so everything worked the way it is supposed to?
