I'm doing a motor swap on my 83 Cutlass Supreme. Car originally had Buick 3.8 and a 200 transmission. Im putting one of those gm goodwrench 350 motors in there with a 350 transmission. I got the motor mounts in the right place but cant seem to sit the engine right in place or get the transmission mount screw to drop in the hole on the x-member. Any ideas???

Do you have the correct crossmember? Is it flipped around? I have a crossmember from Jegs in mine. How far off is the hole?

the hole is not that far off but am i supposed to flip it around or something?

The TH200 and TH350 are the same length and use the same crossmember. Are you sure you have the frame mounts for the engine in the right place? Try bolting the trans to the crossmember and see where the frame mounts end up.
