I'm going to run true duals with headers once the SBO is in the cutlass.

I was thinking of cutting my current transmission cross-member and boxing it with some channel... That is until I found a double humb crossmember at the junkyard.

It's definitely from a G-body, but not IN a car, so there's no telling what transmission it's for. This is where I'm hoping you guys could help me out. Do any of you guys know how to distinguish the mount types? I didn't have the camera with me today, but I will get some pics asap.

Wow, nobody???

There was no G body that came with a double hump cross member.

i pulled one out of a monte SS with friend of mine years ago, and they used to come up on ebay from time to time. they looked pretty factory to me. driver's side cutout was the same as the passenger's side, and was definitely not chopped/spliced in.

I scored a used G-Force 200-4r x-member on eBay for $165. It included the frame extension for 78-83 G-bodies, although I didn't need it. A tight fit, but nice and is setup to run true duals.

There is some double hump cross members that will fit with very little modification. I forget what cars they come from, but it is not a G body.
