Hello, I was wondering if anyone out there has used one of these trick flow covers (tfs-8510300) I was doing some research and I was wondering why they say it won't fit Buick or olds 8.5" rears. They say something about metric mounting hardware, but I was wondering if the 10 bolt cover holes will still line up? If I have to get metric hardware to make it work that's no big deal, but was just seeing if anyone has heard of this? By the way I have a 1985 GN 8.5 10 bolt that I'm currently rebuilding to put into a 1986 Monte Carlo ss any help on this would be appreciated! Thanks in advance

back in the 60's and into the ealy 70's pontiac, buick, olds had a different version of a 10 bolt from what chevrolet was using. the chevrolet 8.5 10bolt was the same basic style rear that is in the g body 8.5 .

Since you have an 8.5 from a GN, you are good to go with that cover.

The 1970 Olds Cutlass I am buying will have unique Olds 8.5" 12 bolt rear end. The Trick Flow is a nice cover but didn't contain my exploding spider gears.
