I currently have a 84 cutlass and im thinking and wanting to swap my entire rear with a regal, t-type rear.
switching the taillights, bumper fillers, the little taillight molding and trunk but the only thing is im not sure if for example the trunk will line up or latch on. so with that been said I'd like to know if this is even possible, and if anyone has a good side by side comparison photo of ether vehicle i have had no luck finding a picture of a regals rear   i kind of have an idea as of how ill go about it just not sure if everything will line up and end up not having large gaps

It's not going to work without a lot of modification. I've seen it done before but the person did the opposite and easier route. They used a Regal and then swapped the Cutlass front end onto the front.
I would think to do it the way you're talking you would need the whole rear of a regal so that you could cut it off and weld it onto the Cutlass.

As FE3X CLONE already stated it would be a lot of modification, the quarters are different along with everything that attaches to them.
You would be better off finding a regal and swapping your front end on there.
Most of the time when you haven't seen it done before there is usually a good reason for it.
I say enjoy your Cutlass as a Cutlass or sell it to someone who will and buy a Regal.

i like how the cutlass window and wheel well is shaped and i dont feel like sanding another car haha does anyone have a pic of a regal with the trunk opened and focused more on the license plate area?

I have been thinkin about doing the same myself, regal has the nicest tail end imo, but I guess they are right, easier to buy a regal
