Where is it? I'm the type who likes to see who I'm stuffing in the trunk at night, but my light won't work. The socket is good, my trunk release works, the bulb is good, the fuse is good, so next would be the switch, which I can't seem to find. Help?

It's a mercury switch inside the socket. Are you getting 12V to the connector tucked up in the trunklid? Also remove the socket from the trunklid and sand down the backside, it grounds through the trunklid.

I didn't realize the switch was inside the actual socket, I was getting power to the plug and the bulb was good. The switch apparently only worked when flipped right around, figuded that out with a lightbulb with one wire to the socket and one to the trunk and playing around with it. I just picked one up from the scrap yard and it works great. Thanks for the help, cheers.
