79 g body coupe has a bit of moisture I detected. On the left . Can someone speak on this ? as I am thinking of the old weather strip. Could this be the problem.
And is there a strip that goes in the back ? Thanks Dez

Back glass can often leak after this many years, which can then leak through the package tray

Before you start spending money and pulling lots of stuff apart ... well.

It may just be my chemo fog but your description seems too vague to really give you targeted feedback.

1) seals and gaskets shrink and distort over time. BUT, even with that, many aftermarket products won't fit or seal as well as even an aged gm part in some instances.

My questions would be:

1) are you hardtop, sunroof/astroroof, or ttop,
2) is there or has there been a vinyl landau roof/half top on the car?
3) can you give us a pic of where you're seeing the moisture, even if it's someone else's car you just take paint/photoshop, circle the wet spots with your finger, and repost it?

Oh 💩! I would love a fast hack to determine. As I go through a car wash. I have an expanding sponge that blows up with water. I’m waiting to see where this sneaky leaking is coming from. As it’s intermittent. Thanks

We used to get one guy inside with bright led battery light close the trunck have someone spray water at the trunk crack and around rear window trim the guy inside watches and the guy out sides sprays each section and length usually they call to each other to repeat certain areas in a while the leak can be detected as coming from a certain spot then the guy inside gets let out and some dumb dumb butyl stick putty is placed over the leaking spot / spots .yes you may have a rusty spot up near the rear window crack or were the water drains down the side of trunck weather strip on the side it puddles or is damp .there somthing called gutter sealer at lowes would stop a leak or sand rust and cover holes woth jb weld .The point is use something to stop rain from getting in even calk can plug a leak if the hole is free of loose rust or dirt...if the whole window frame is rusting you will proubly need to take it out the lift any vinyl top material then sand blast or sand the rust with some rough sandpaper then fill the rust holes ( epoxy) prime paint really window trim and any vinyl
