Has anyone on here turbo'd one of the 455's? I was also wondering if someone knew of a good place to get parts for doing so etc, and if some one had a dyno sheet.

There is a guy that goes by the screen name "BigO" on www.oldspower.com that has a turbo'd 455. Runs pretty decent if I remember correctly but it is fairly mild, at least for a turbo engine anyway.

The issue is that a stock 455 block can't take all that a full out turbo build can put out. General rule of thumb is that once you hit the 600HP mark, you need to start looking into a full bottom end girdle and even at that, its no garauntee it will help.

Really, to do a full on turbo build your best bet would be to start with a 350DX (diesel) block. These have been proven to hold up well above 1000+HP.
