Just need some assistance with my tv cable. I have the bowtie overdrives tv made ez set up for the truck 5.3 LS truck intake and 700r4. I tried emailing them and calling them but kept getting voicemails. My issue is I have excess slack in my cable no matter how I adjust it. So I'm just wondering if there is any special way to run it or if anyone else had that issue. On a side note my tv cable kit also didn't come with anything to secure the cable into the transmission to stop it from popping out.

On the 200-4R, there's a bolt on the transmission to secure the cable on casing. It's probably the same for the 700-R4

yes it came with a bolt but the metal piece that goes into the transmission is just circular there is nothing for the bolt to hook onto to hold the cable in.

That's what my cable looks like. This is the end that is bolted on the casing. Fits 200 and 700 transmissions. Hope this helps.

thats what the factory one looks like but the bowtie overdrives is just circular with no tab. But I'm not concerned with that I'm more concerned with the excessive slack that I can't get rid of

Could it happen to be like one of those tv cables from monster transmissions that have extendable shaft?
Mine had one with a lock screw on the end of the cable to secure it im not sure about yours thats just how mine was.
And did you press the button in and move the linkage all the way in?

its a tv cable set up from bowtie overdrives there is no button that I saw, its got a threaded rod with two nuts that can be adjusted at the brackets but there is to much for me to adjust it out. Maxed out I hit almost WOT before it begins to pull that cable.

Do you have any pics? My 700 is set up just like the 200. Cable has a button at the throttle/tv cable bracket to adjust it

Nope the only picture I got right now is to big. But basically you have the bracket below the throttle cable and there is a small hole in it for a threaded rod to go through and that is how you adjust it is with that threaded rod. But I have a lot of slack to the point that I don't have enough adjustment to get the slack out. Its a bowtie overdrive system made for the LS truck intakes.

http://www.tvmadeez.com go to this page,on the left is a list of carbs, BUT choose the edelbrock 1406/carter afb carb... it will give detailed instructions how to set the whole thing up, (ignore those unless thats your kind of carb)... now for what i hope will help, halfway down the instructions page it will have 3 pictures of ends of tv cables, click on the pic of the kind you have and it will bring you to a page on how to adjust that specific cable... guessing yours is the braided kind with the two nuts, if so, this link should bring you right to the cable adjustment page... http://www.tvmadeez.com/tvcable_instruc ... dcable.php
