U.S. members, check your bank accounts. $600!!!!!!!!!!!! ($1,200 for 2) That was quick.

Maybe. 1 in 3 chance. Before November 2020, Samsung had TV's built in Vietnam, S. Korea, and one lone plant in China. After November, they pulled out of China TV production. Samsung still makes some chips and home appliances in China still. They were also to end computer manufacturing in China as well.

Only 2 TV's are made in the USA. Actually more like assembled with mostly "globally sourced parts". The very high-end Seura, out of Wisconsin, but they're pricey AF, and another company here in South Carolina, called Element, who just basically assembles TV's from foreign parts.
I'm talking about the money.

We got our deposit as a new year gift overnight. As for the TV topic, I bought it Sharp 60 inch 6-2010, still works perfect. Paid $2,000.00 at the time. 7 years later coulda picked one up for $600.00. A Best Buy salesman told me 5 years ago to avoid Sharp for awhile since they sold out to another company. Sharp invented the LED TV. After what I’ve read here I think I’ll avoid Samsung and I’ve never had any long term success with Sony. A few family members have had good long term success with LG.

I think 69Hurstolds incident with Samsung may be an isolated incident. I’ve had good service from Samsung products and would definitely buy again. Sony on the other hand I have boycotted due to multiple failures in less than five years. My Dad’s high end LED Smart TV had a circuit board failure. Unrepairable. My $1000 Sony video camera failed...unrepairable. Junk. The Sony Vegas software I bought is riddled with bugs and issues so bad that it makes the software unusable. I can’t believe they even released this software. Sony wireless earbuds Bluetooth failure... The list goes on. Take apart any Sony product and you’ll find parts from other manufacturers like Motorola, NEC, etc. but none of it is made by Sony. just piss poor engineering. Build a crappy product in China and slap your name on it. No thanks

Wow. Was putzing around in the bank account today and when I logged in....

$1200 more of YOUR GRANDCHILDREN'S MONEY went in our bank account this morning from Uncle Sam.

Personally don't agree with the methods behind how we ended up with it, but I'll never turn down any "free" money that comes my way. I'm somewhat financially responsible with these sort of things, but apparently not that much. 🙂 I almost forgot about it. But the LED TV in the living room is starting to get some purple spots and shadows on the edges of it and this should just about cover a replacement.

Thank you for paying for this, other people's grandchildren and future grandchildren. You haven't yet, but you will.

Check your bank accounts, you could be next!
I won’t likely be next and you’re welcome.
