UGGGG !!!

I know like, crappy day here. 58, cloudy and now drizzling rain. Did work on cleaning place up from Hurricane Michael. Heck of a mess. Upside yesterday was sunny

I would have hear in my garage if I had a brass set to try to use the pre 1940 coal/wood furnace in there but it hasn't be used since the early 1970's & the exhaust pipe is rotten.

My garage is attached to the house and its technically not heated but it usually lingers around 45° in the winter. I can run a space heater and have it up to 55 in a half hour or so but as soon as the garage door is opened the heat is all gone.

45°F is warm enough to work in there for brakes and oil changes and things, but it's still too cold to paint and too cold for me to want to be in there working on the Regal. I've mostly been working on little things I can do inside. I've gotta dig an alternator out of my bucket of alternators and rebuild it so I have one ready to go.

We had -35F, then +50F, then rain, then 0F then snow, so I’ve got a quarter inch of ice with a quarter inch of snow on top. Fun!

I’ve got a radiant heater in the ceiling, which narrowly (at the time) beat out a modine hot dog. I wouldn’t do forced air ever again! I can lay on the floor in shorts when it’s -whatever outside and be comfortable. Heck, I can work with the door open as long as it’s not windy. With two little kids o unfortunately don’t get to spend as much time as I would like there. FDE590AF-6FA7-4D78-9F2B-900719AACA9D.jpeg

I have radiant floor heating in my garage... 57°F all the time. It has AC too.

Lots of work is getting done, Son.

At the rate I make progress, I'll probably get my backup heater in about April . . .

I'm actually doing a few things. Just nothing worthy of pictures, videos, and writeups yet.

Winter isn't the same hardship for everyone. Our deck (and that table) was clear yesterday... and it is still falling.

Time to move a few metric tonnes of frozen water by hand!
